Reta shrugged. "No one saved my life." Annie was one of her best friends, sure, but she didnt like the idea of someone saving her. Sure, Annie pretty much had saved her, but hadnt she helped Annie out as well. Reta smiled slightly at the thought. She had practically saved Annies life, sorta. But Annie had certainly saved her life. She wouldnt have been able to walk out on her own.
'Reta, people can change. I don't trust her but you could at least give her the benefit of the doubt. Sure she acted bad in the past but people change Reta, surely you should of all people should know that?'
Reta shook her head, refusing to talk to him. People didnt change unless they had a good reason to, and she didnt see Amy changing anyway.
"No one said it was your fault." Reta whispered to herself when he was gone. She turned slightly, to make sure he had gone, then frowned at Annie. "Sorry." she offered, and then added, "And thanks. You did kinda save my life."
