Creation of the Myriad Imperium, Chess Faction

Sai wandered into the mountains. Actually, he had no idea why he was there. Something brought him there. He didn't exactly know what had brought him there either. There was also a heavy mist.
"What am I doing here? I should be fighting in the War Games."
Am I supposed to know? Well, let's at least look around I thi-
Silence.
"Mokuma?"
No reply. Something was wrong. He activated Mokuma Taitoku. There wasn't any energy coming from it.
"Mokuma! Hey, Mokuma!"
Still nothing. Then, Sai felt 4 magical energies enter the area. They were massive. He looked around. But there was nothing to see. There was too much fog.
"Who's there?!"
"Hmm... the holder of Mokuma of Wood..."
"Why are we after such a small guy? He doesn't have much magic..."
"Who knows? It was Master's idea..."
"Let's just do this. He needs a vessel."
Sai didn't know what was going on, but there was something trying to enter his mind. 4 somethings.

Chi was abruptly teleported into the mountains by Rai. Apparently, there was a major magical leak in the area and she was supposed to investigate. There was. The magic was so great, she could hardly feel her own. Pulling out her Kaze no Raikou, she headed in the general direction of where the magic was flowing. Through the dense fog, she saw a figure. There was a red glowing all over the body.
"Sai? Is that you?"
But she felt 4 other presences as well. But his magic... it was the most overwhelming.

Sai was trying to fight the mental battle, but he just couldn't do it. He was beaten. The new person turned to the newcomer. It was Chi! What was she doing here?! Sai wanted to scream to her, telling her to run. But he couldn't. His body was no longer under his control.
"Laragas. Seize her and put her under a spell."
"Yes master."
Laragas took on the form of a human, currently covered by a black cloak. Pointing his finger at Chi, he cast a spell. He was now invading her mind.
"Obey me. Allow your will to bend to mine. Be mine to control."
It wouldn't be long now. They would have her under their control, then, they would take a visit to Phantom of the Chess.

"Hey what are you-?!"
Then, she lost consciousness. She knew the nature of these control spells. She'd retain her personality, but she wouldn't know what she was doing. She'd also be under the control of the person who cast it. Then, she blacked out.

Chi! You bastard! What happened?!
I'm going to need to borrow your body Saiza.
No! Stop it! What are you going to do?!
I'm surprised you hadn't figured that out yet.
It's not that he didn't figure it out. It's that he didn't want to admit it. And the "master" knew that.
"C'mon. We're heading to Lestava castle."

Then, they were off, each using their own elements. Then, they were all gone.
