The Return of Ezekkiel

The "Boy" was no longer a child, and proven before his break. The true story was short and simple. He went on a vacation.

He was stretching, as he returned from a place with no danger, putting aside mere waves and small crustaceans. He rested, and had control over his anger, over his dark self. God could never forgive him for killing, unless he had mercy and his normal self got salvation into Paradise. But, over that vacation, his time hadn't gone in vain, and he practiced the light arts despite resting his body and soul.

So there he was. In perfect condition, a bit tanned, but not enough for cancer, and sleeping on his pet gryphon, Kenny. Soaring through the air, he felt tired, and looked below at the island.

“Yo, you're on my griffin.”

A familiar voice said from overhead. It was Jin. He had aged over the years to be sure, still retaining some, if not all of the quirky features that mad him well...him. His face was blank, expressionless, as if he wasn't the least bit affected by the accusations that he had completely vanished for the past two years, thus alienating himself from all past allies and friends a like. How exactly he had found a way ontop of the aerial beast was mystery, though most would suspect it was due the Dimension ÄRM he had kept on his person over the years.

OOC: I'll let it slide.

"I don't know who you are, or why the fu|ck your on my mount, but I'm warning you that I will make you eat through a straw for the rest of your life if you don't get off," he muttered, as he turned his face to take a better glance and analyze his "visitor".

Who is this guy? How the hell did he get up here?

[Spongebob]

OOC: ..Okay?

“...Wha?”

He scratched the back of his head, dumbfounded. Sweatdropping, he put his finger to his chin, contemplating on how exactly to get Ezekkiel to remember it was him. Obviously he could of just told him who he was but then that wouldn't be very Jin-like now would it? Instead he gasped excitedly, discovering an idea on how to clue him on who he was. He pulled a dirty and musty book from inside his choaker, pointing towards it with an intuitive look. “Remember this?”

"Your not Jin," he muttered, as he stared at the journal, "That guy is long gone."

Zeke frowned, as he touched the Diary. Memories flooded through his mind, and funny enough he started laughing. His laughter grew, and he put his hand on Jin's shoulder, "That guy left a long time ago, you left."

Zeke gave him a blank stare, and ended with a, "What you been up to?"

Jin blushed in embarrassment, laughing nervously. He was snapped back to reality abruptly when he realized he was not speaking to a woman but a man, and Ezekkiel no less. “Knock it off!” He turned around, wiping his flushed face of any signs of fluster. He turned back around, squatting indian-style in front of Ezekkiel. He looked down, as in in deep thought. He completely avoided Ezekkiel's question as nostalgia began to enter him of Chris. Which brought up a necessary and obvious question:

“Hey--where's Chris?”

Ezekkiel was dumbstruck. Chris. A year after Jin left, Chris left. He found it odd that he forgot about his friends so quickly, especially a close one like Chris. It had seemed everyone was a stranger, and odd enough, one of the first people to greet him was the last one he'd expect. "Chris..." he stuttered, "What about him?"

Zeke payed no attention to the actual question, his mind was still flashing through memories. Chris. Kurisu. The Knights.

"Oh, right, Chris... I honestly don't know, but where have you been?" he repeated, a question he asked Syotik a few years back, when he made a sudden appearance.

Jin frowned, obviously disappointed Ezekkiel had no more of an idea of where Chris did than him. He ignored the question once again, standing up right, hands behind his head. He looked off into the distance as the griffin continued to soar through the skies. At ground level everything seemed so small, comparable to bugs at best. He looked down, before turning back to his old friend.

“Hey, we should go look for Chris!” He said, putting on a fake smile.

Zeke wasn't a dumbass; he saw through the smile. He frowned, obviously something was on his mind.

"Somethings on your mind; what is it? What's bothering ya, bro?" he queeried, he knew Jin wasn't gonna answer directly but he was prepared to fish it out.

[Spongebob]

“Just...”

His attention was diverted as he felt a familiar presence. Unfortunately, it only remained for the very brink of a second before fading back to nothing. Was that Chris? He pointed towards the east, directing the griffin in altering it's previous destination. Then suddenly, the presence sparked once again, this time for a slightly longer period before dissipating once again. Jin narrowed his eyes on Ezekkiel, who had no doubt felt the same as him, if not at the very least noticed it.

"Hey- What was that?" he said, although he had read too many novels to know Jin was gonna take advantage of this to divert the topic. "Fine, I'll bring my question up later, did you just feel that?" he asked, "I know is sounds sort of wierd, but did you just... sense something?"

[Spongebob]

Jin laughed at the irony of it all. “I was just about to ask you the same thing.” He said before turning back the destination of interest. Noticing that they were still going in the same direction he raised an eyebrow. His confusion was soon solved when he quickly caught on that while Kenny and him had a close bond, it still only obeyed orders from it's owner. “Mind telling your pet to head that way?” He said jokingly, pointing towards the east.

Zeke had a bond with every mount he tamed, Kenny in particular. He pointed the way Jin was, and his gryphon obeyed. "I get it; when we head this way the presence gets stronger," he replied, now facing Jin.

"So I guess we aren't talking, but what I'd like to know is what happened to the Knights. Chris and I just left, and I take it you guys just left?" he asked, but he knew he wasn't going to get an answer.

He was confounded, what did Jin have to hide?

Wiggling his nose, a sneeze erupted from his nostril. A sniffle followed. Once the embarrassing incident had conceded he addressed Ezekkiel. “You say something?” He said, pretending as if he had not him while in all actuality he had but was nonetheless reluctant to actually answer his questions. He rested his back on the griffin, looking up the clouds as they soared past. “You think what we just felt was Chris or what?” He decided to ask.
