Adventures in Pawning

[Chessmaster]

Alpha was just walking around Levasta, he wasn't wearing his robes or his mask, he didn't feel like he needed to. He had been in the Chess for a year now, and no results on figuring out who killed his mother, plus he was almost just as weak as he was when he entered, the only thing that changed was the ARM that he got.

Alpha found himself walking into a courtyard, he needed to train, but he didnt see anybody around, so he walked over near a tree, and sat down, soon he found himself dosing off.

He tried to keep himself awake, but he kept fading in and out until finally his sleep won this battle, showing him that even a feeling was stronger than him.

[Kurayami]

Kurayami was walking along when he spotted someone sleeping by his favorite tree, so he walked over and kicked the guy "What do you think your doing?" he said without paying attention to weather the guy was awake or not

[Chessmaster]

"Gnaugh"

Alpha felt something hit him in his side, causing him to fall over and wake up, he didn't know what it was but someone behind him was yelling something, not that he was listening.

Alpha stood up and dusted himself off, before turning around to face the man.

"Hey!! You shouldn't kick people for no apparent reason, it's not nice!"

He almost felt like the ARM on his finger was burning, but that was just his nerves telling him to activate it.

[Kurayami]

"Hmph...this is my favorite tree!" He said as he began to move foreward at this person.

"By the way...whats your name and why do you look familiar?"

he felt a tingle in his hair making him slightly anxious. He thought to himself (maybe I should just leave him alone...nah!)

[Chessmaster]

"Alpheron Vegna, but you can call me Alpha, and you've probably seen me around Levasta Castle, ive been in the Chess Pieces for about a year now."

As the man approached towards him Alpha backed away slightly, holding the ARM on his finger with his other hand.

"What do you want?"

Alpha wasn't nervous, but he certaintly was unsure of the man's intentions.

"...and What's YOUR name??"

[Kurayami]

Kurayami sat down where Alpha used to be sitting "I'm Kurayami... but you can call me Kura. Also I sorta feel like a bit of training today...would you care to spar?"he said looking up with a serious stare

[Chessmaster]

"Hmmm, that's weird, me too, Im fine with a spar."

It just hit him that the guy had some seriously pointed ears and he had a favorite tree.

What kind of person has a "favorite tree"???

"Why dont we go to the center of the courtyard on the chess board??"

Alpha didn't wait for the "man" to accept or not, and he began walking over to the chess board.

[Kurayami]

Kurayami chased after Alpha "Wait up! I'm feeling kind of sluggish today..."

He wished there was a tree within 20 feet of the chessboard. He looked around spotting one just a few feet away, even though it was sort of small "That will have to do..." he sighed and walked onto the board "I tihnk you should make the first move" he said snapping his fingers, making a fuuma shuriken appear in his hand.

[Chessmaster]

"Alright..if you wish."

Alpha grasped at air with his hand, and said, "Silver Axe". In an instant his ring disappeared and became an axe.

Alpha ran at Kura with the Silver Axe in his right hand trailing behind him.

"Try this!"

When Alpha got close to Kura he allowed his arm to come forward, attempting a horizontal slash at Kura's chest.

[Kurayami]

Kurayami leaped backward tossing the shuriken at Alpha in a rotating motion. "Quick to the kill eh?" he said as he landed.

[Chessmaster]

Alpha shifted his hand so that the blade of the axe was facing Kura and the Shuriken again.

A magic stone on the Silver Axe glowed as Alpha yelled, "Nature Arm, Air Axe".

A blade of white air shot out of the blade of the axe as he swung it, flying towards the shuriken, trying to slice it in 2 of alter it's course to cause it to miss Alpha. If that didn't work, Alpha had a back up plan.

"Just trying to give you a run for your money!"

[Kurayami]

Kurayami swung his fist to the left as the shuriken veered off corse "damn it!" he shouted and threw his fist back in the direction of Alpha, with the shuriken following the pattern of his hand "Betcha didn't expect that?"

[Chessmaster]

Hmm, Telekinetic control eh?

Alpha transformed his Silver Axe into a shield, with the glow of the second magic stone.

When the shuriken hit the barrier created by the "Barrier Shield." It bounced off and fell to the ground.

"Not that exactly, but I figured your shuriken had a trick to it."

[Kurayami]

Snapped his fingers "damn...well maybe you'll get a kick out of this!" the shuriken flew back to his hand and began to glow and change shape. "3rd form! Root Scythe!" he said as it completed the transformation.

He slammed the end of its staff into the gound and reached in the direction of the small tree. "roots rise!"

Only one root sprouted from the ground and shot towards Alpha, breaking up the chessboard floor beneith them "heh...so it was only worth one?" he sighed as he attempted to make the root wrap around Alpha's leg

[Chessmaster]

The third stone on Silver axe began to glow and it returned to normal.

As the root wrapped around Alpha's leg, he threw the head of his 3rd Mode: Axe Flail at the base of the root, cutting it in half, but soon after it sliced the root in half it glowed and returned to its Original Form: Silver Axe.
