Ok, well ... I chose drumset. Why? ... Because, drumset offers a balance of all other forms of percussion instruments aside from mallets .... You have the snare, at least three toms, a bass, and several cymbals ... all in a basic drumset. Going more advanced and you get into the one I had set up at school with three snares, three toms, the bass, three cymbals, cowbell, triangle, windchimes, go-go bells, tamborine, shakers, siren whistle, woodblocks, vibraslap, and I was even gonna have a gong but we never got the gong stand intime .... and yes, I was able to utilize all of these implements.
Besides ... playing set is a lot of fun .... especially if the set surrounds you .... for an example of what I mean by that look up Neil Peart's Drumset on yahoo .... it is huge. Indeed, Mallets are cool ... and they're the one percussion instument I do not know how to play .... very well at this time .... and I wanna change that

I have to go with Timp. simply because I played it a lot last year. It really fun if you know how to tune it!!!!!!!! Unfortunatly Cody had to do that a lot for me. He also had to help me with reading the bass clef. But Timp. is really fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^Hehe,you really did.It was sorta funny that you could tune it without the pitchpipe better than Lee could with the pitchpipe.

Well I could usually tune pretty well once Cody gave me the note on the mallets. I could at least tune faster than Christian and I could tune without Cody having to come over there and do it for me . I could usually tune while the band was getting their music out.

Or you based it off of the band.I always know if I'm on the right note when I'm playing brass because I can hear it and compare it to the rest of the band.

lol .... i have a 99% chance of guessing right .... wich is odd ... I mean .... who can almost always guess correctly? .... and to add to this ... I can read the notes on it ... but the tuning bar on our timp ... is way out of position .... and even then it would still be slightly inaccurate

The tuning bar on our Timp. is out too. So at the beginning of last year I could just go by the note on the bar but by the end of last year I had to tune the Timp. from the mallets, and that was hard because I had just got to changing notes mid-song.
