Personally i favor being called a band geek, but i don't care cuz' I 'm proud!!

I sorta agree w/ Jomo,I'm a geek in all respects,but I'm also pretty cool,if you haven't already figured that out (but I'm sure you have).I think that some people are "band geeks" and some people are just in the band.

Well,mmost of the time non bandies don't know how much effort we put into what we do,so we go unnoticed except at halftime....THEN WE KICK A AND PARTY!

^ Meghan, your lucky that your friends think of you as cool band person, my friends (or mostly one friend in this case) think that Im crazily obsessed with band and somtimes even refuse to call me a band geek because they know its a compliment to me. Their just jelouse.

Well most of the time at my school any term related to band geek or band nerd is pretty much someone making fun of you.So I usually end up defending whoever it was directed at.

well band geek around my school is kinda insulting, but not as much as some other places. And some people in band are totally dorky, annoying and really nerdy band geeks. At least in my band i can find one. But me and some of my friends are like the proud geeks that everyone loves! We hang out with everyone and not just the band. We have like those non-bandie cheerleaders and football player friends, and then we have the band friends. A lot of people in our band like to talk about certain people in our band cuz' they're lame (behind their backs) and they don't know it. In short, our band is weird.

not as weird as mine. and i learned this the hard way. in my school all the drummers, trumpet players, sax players, some t-bones, and the occasional flute/clarinet are all perverted. we have the sickest jokes, comments and disscusions in my class. its really fun most of the time, till you're the victim of the joke

Same here,although it's pretty limited to the low brass and percussion.But I learned how to direct most of the sick jokes back at whoever was joking about me.

like one time, my teacher was helping me w/ music during class and he said "lets do it together" then the 'master of mahem' (AKA luke beermann) said "that's what she said". all i could do was turn around and give him dirty looks. i mean he's 2 years older than me and is on varsity football and lacross!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, i was. i mean, this teacher comes up to me and my bf one time after school when i was shoing my bf something on the flute, and starts saying like, i dont know if i can trust you two in here alone, at the school i worked at before this, the janitors called the practice rooms breeding stalls. i was like . . . o...k... it was a little scary!!!
