Ok,so I was wondering what kind of sax you all like best.I voted bari sax because they are pretty much bass in Eb.I didn't vote bass or contra because I've never played one and they're not that common.What do you guys think?

I think alto is kind of awesome!!! go alto's! and the bari's are okay, but i'll vote for alto!

I voted for Bari because they are loud unlike most of our bass line. It was sad when the one bari could play louder than 3 low brass instruments!!!!!!!!!

i dunno, i can't really play the saxophone that well. any of them

Its ok vicky the Bb clarinet is your calling, It would be best if you stuck to taht and NOT the base clarinet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lets face it you cant play the bass clarinet!!!!JK

Hehe,bass clarinet is HARD.Like as hard as bari sax.So there's not many that play it well.But if you like it then...More power to ya!

^I think I sort of proved that when I got first chair at county honor band.We have to show the world that we can play low reeds!Man,and the female tubists....Not many but the few that do play tuba are great at it.

yea, im the only one who plays bari in my high school band.im also in jazz band and have already gotten solos that i nailed!! i <3 my bari sax!!

ok while the bari sax is incredibly awesome.(even got its own day now) i voted for tenor. it's not that i'm biased or nothin, but tenors can play real low and high. and i think that's pretty cool. and tenors are in all kinds of rock bands too.
O_O oh geez there should be a hardcore rock/metal band with a bari. i'm surprised it hasn't been done before....has it? in closing, my love is in the tenors.  -------------------- workin' on some great shit. it used to be good shit and now we're workin it up to awesome shit...
but it's gonna be amazin for just a piano and an alto |

I like tenors too,Saxagrrl,but unfortunately the only tenor player at my school really can't play.He was good on alto sax,but when he switched to tenor things went bad.SO I haven't heard a good tenor player in a while.But I tihnk they're really cool.

yea, tenors are waesome!! we have one amazing tenor in out jazz band, and he's just SO AMAZING. but of course maggie comes next in line for tenor awesomeness!!!!!!!!!!!(as far as i've heard!!)
