Title: Eridus Harlath
Description: CP for The Lady Pegasus

The Lady Pegasus - July 10, 2007 07:17 AM (GMT)
Genre: Fantasy

Full name: Eridus Harlath

Nickname: Whisper or Rogue, the latter usually from disgruntled maidens.

Age: Appears to look between the ages of 19 and 26 human years. His real age is something of legend and is constantly speculated over.

Gender: Male

Race: 95% Human. Possible 5% Elven blood.

Talents: Trained in the ‘art of death’ from an early age, Eridus’ skill at assassinating or stealing the life from another living thing is, without a doubt, one of if not the best. According to his recollection “I’ve had at least eight hundred years to perfect it. Why shouldn’t I be the best?”
Good with animals, particularly dogs and horses, and takes a great interest in astronomy and the sciences. Minor magical talent that is limited to teleportation and healing, but due to years of neglecting these skills, he has become considerably rusty and they tax a good deal of his energy supply upon use. Has little care and even less talent for the magic arts.
Eridus has highly developed skills as a swordsman and, despite the shady nature of his work, he insists it is a misunderstood art and considers himself a man of his word. Has a highly developed knowledge of poisons. Hires himself out as a mercenary on occasion.

Characteristics and traits: Eridus often has good intentions if they suit his purpose, and is chivalrous and honorable in almost all he does, but his morals are usually subject to questioning. Will not hesitate to help someone in genuine need, nor will he hesitate to run him or her through with a blade, should the need arise. He has little concern for people who call his work evil or bad as he sees it simply as a way of life, similar to a blacksmith or baker. Has a relatively neutral view on the forces of ‘good’ and ‘evil’ unless they directly concern him, then he takes action to the fullest extent possible Despises the idea of ‘Good’ and ‘Evil’ and claims that it’s such a silly and subjective argument that he stepped above it years ago. Eridus, despite his disturbingly cool, calm and collected demeanor in the face of crisis, he has been known to have an exceedingly short temper on occasion, as well as the very rare emotional moment when his conscience catches up to him. Has a wry sense of humor. Somewhat shifty and prefers to observe the situation thoroughly before acting. Keeps very much to himself, but is a very loyal friend that will fight to the death if you gain his trust. Loves a good story.

Eyes: Forest green.

Skin: Fair, but slightly tanned due to his liking of the outdoors. Clean shaven face.

Hair: Jet black, slightly wavy and falls to his shoulders. Normally keeps it tied behind his head in a warrior’s tail.

Build: Taller than average, lean and muscular. Eridus sports a strength unusual for his appearance and what he lacks in strength, he more than makes up for in agility and stamina. Would be considered more ‘eye catching’ than starkly attractive, but considers it part of his charm.

Clothing: Dark clothing, preferably nondescript but with a touch of class. Clothes that are able to distinguish him from others, yet allow him to blend in with almost any crowd.

History: Was taught the ‘art of death’ from a young age after a tragic accident involving a headstrong mage and the death of his young brother, Jakob, the onus of which was pinned solely on the young Eridus after he had no choice but to begrudgingly return to the mage and enter his service as an apprentice. Eridus, after taking his teacher’s life as a boy of sixteen, was placed under a powerful curse that granted him the longevity of the immortals, but also bound him to eternally serve the mage’s bloodline until the supposed debt was repaid in full.

Life-changing Moment: Upon discovering the avoidable death of his young brother, Jakob, being accused of the crime and subsequently being banished from the village by his own family, Eridus turned his back on humanity as he knew it and took up the life of an assassin and cold-blooded murderer.
