Dynasty Warriors, #3 in my topic making chain

On all of the forums i've seen, I never saw a topic about this series.

It's a strategy/fighting game based on the Three Kingdoms era that took place in China between the years 184 A.D. and 280 A.D. I LOVE these games. I was introduced to it by a friend of my brothers. I could go into many more details, but it would make my post too long and you wouldn't read it.

Has anyone else played/heard of this game before?

I heard it's really good. I haven't had the chance to play it yet, but it seems really interesting. I was watching something on G4 about it, and they were talking about all the different strategies and fighting styles, and something about an elephant.
