Weaving Dreams

Darmien Ashita ( ), Dream maker watching over mortals giving them premonitions, ideas and filling the nights with images within minds although Death, Life, Fate, Chance, Hope and Despair greatly effect dwellers of Kriyon only Dream works on the sleeping while the concious mind is effected by the other seven.

He jumps down from his seat small balls of light flying past with needles in their hands, they were faeries the creatures could thread the dreams into minds since they were so delicate and nimble they were also known as Dream Weavers as much so as he was known as the Dream Weaver too many humans that didn't dwell on knowledge.

"Go into the night and spread the dreams into minds of all." The faeries dispersing downwards into sand filled bowls grabbing a small bagful each and vanishing with a spark, although the sand did nothing it told humans they had been visited that night by a dream weaver.

Remata ( ), the ruler of Fate, sat enthroned on the very top of the queen figure on a playing board. The game was called Chess, invented by Humans from a planet called Earth. It involved military pieces, the less of them on the board, the higher their rank. Or so it seemed.

She had been very interested in the way it worked, especially since many humans from the planet of it's origin had associated her with it. It seemed to fit better with Chance when she first looked at it, but as she came to understand it better, she realised that Chess was not a game played in the Present. It was a game played in the Future. Both players tried to see what was going to happen next. If you couldn't see far enough into the Future, then you were fated to lose.

How poetic.

She smiled. Of course her game of Chess was played on a much bigger board, so to speak. She picked up a glass sphere, which had a swirling dark cloud in the middle, and she shook it.

Kriyon A world appeared, not too dissimilar to Earth. Yes She said.

Darmien steps out of a door only for another door going into the nearby realm, a woman playing chess or some form of it, a glass sphere with a dark cloud in the middle obviously Fate was having fun with mortals again. "Good evening Remata, how are you?"

He walks over to the giant chess board and sits on the opposite piece to her the white King piece.

You're adopting a challenging position there. She didn't look up from the globe. But I have things to do at the moment, so games can wait. She looked at him sideways, still facing the globe, but moving her eyes to look at him. Your question is interesting. I suppose you got it from the mortals. It must be small talk of some kind, since we don't change. How am I? Ask me that once and you will know for eternity how I am, isn't that correct? Provided I answer you of course. She returned her attention to the globe. And as for good evening... She chuckled quietly.

Dream smirked floating over to the Black King as she turned her gaze back to the globe, he used emotions,colour and anything in dreams while Fate's transparent realm was quite the opposite to his. "Well Fate it is evening where the mortals are and watching them while my workers go around filling their heads with nonsense I usually come accustom to using their wording."

He peers at the globe in her hand. "I see your far more interested in this than anything else, a shame I just gave a young boy a glimpse of a questionable death only you know if he survives though I just give people pre warnings."

Fate nodded absently. You know, planets don't work like that. See this one? The dark side is night, and the light side is day. And the planet keeps turning and turning and everyone gets their fair share of each. But both happen at once. You could say it is Evening where mortals are, and equally you could say it is Morning or Noon.

"Yes but when your work is soley during the night you don't see the morning or noon it's what they would call a force of habit." Dream sighed at the globe. "To be honest Fate I am more interested in some of these mortals, there are specific ones on this world that seem to be pretty powerful some are even gaining immortality...Although we know who is to blame there."

Fate shrugged. I don't think we can blame anyone in particular. If devices like blame were used, I'd get it all, now wouldn't I? She drew a symbol in the air, which glowed for a moment, and then a book appeared. It's cover was black leather and it had a silver symbol like the one she had drawn on the cover. She took it and flicked through to a page, writing something in her own personal shorthand that no-one else could read. She was actually using an old language from Earth, but stylised into her own script. The writing was very curly and elaborate.

Dream peered forward to observe the writing, he didn't understand a word but then again thats how Fate kept it, to keep curious readers from knowing, he leant back and thought for a second. "Well Chance would get some blame I guess."

He smirked and leant forward. "So Fate...Tell me does the boy live?"

I couldn't say She said slowly. She finished off her writing carefully and made a flick at the end. Then she shut the book and drew a hole, in the air, placing the book inside it and sealing it up. Darmien, why are you here? She said, wearily. If there's something you need, then tell me.

"Hmph.." Dream folded his arms in dissapointment. "Oh I'm not here beacause I need something, my work is done and the time passes outside our walls." He leans back half hanging from the chess piece. "Doing this has become quite tiresome, dreams are nothing to the people of the world and even if Premonition occurs it usually passes without incident, I was hoping that something big will happen soon so I can leave it in someone's dream."

Fate smiled humourlessly. My, aren't we just quite the human? You're becoming more and more like them, you know She looked at the globe again. I suppose Timeless isn't changeless after all

"Even the Watcher becomes bored and manifests herself onto Kriyon once in a while Fate.." Dream looked down at the chess pieces. "So are you that busy I can't face you in a game?"

Fate looked at him. I told you I had things to do. Chess can wait. Come. The room disintegrated around them and suddenly they were standing in the busy marketplace in Restata. As busy at night as at day. You say you work by night, but you must have some of these sleeping in the daytime after a night like this. In fact, I know that you do. She looked around for a moment and then headed for a stall selling jewellery. Sometimes, things need a little push. She smiled and placed a silver necklace on the stall, before moving away a little. Observe. A young woman walked near the stall a few moments later and stopped to look.
"How much is this?"

Fate walked away. That is a seed of fate that will grow and blossom into a flower before too long. Don't, pry, now come along. We have more seeds to sow.

Dream fell to the floor with a thump just beacause rules didn't apply to a realm didn't mean he could control himself when outside it. "I weave dreams for those who sleep most are asleep at night, the faeries fly out to each person that is sleeping, if they aren't asleep they wait."

He watches her place a necklace down and notices the woman pick it up and ask for the price to the seller, he follows Fate slowly. "My dreams are also seeds, people interpret them and...I don't need to tell you what you know."
