Lady Faren awoke. Something seemed... different. The air was certainly much cooler than she was used to.
Then, of course, there was the reason she had woken at such an ungodly hour of 7 am. Screaming. In the streets. "Ye gods, we just ended the last civil war, do we really need another one?" she muttered to herself as she went to the window. Only to be confronted by the sight of an iceberg, sitting in the middle of the Great Harbor of Enn. "Oh bugger." ~~~ Chairwoman Hayley Ollen had already been awake, getting ready for the first party-based elections in the history of Enn. At the start of the campaign, her re-election had looked assured. Now there were an increasing number of people joining that blasted 'Freedom' Party, and Hannah Sikura had re-emerged from obscurity to start up a left-wing, and apparently widely popular, Democratic Party. And now this. She and Lady Faren looked over the satellite images again. The Chief Justice was on his way, but had already got the news at his residence. How had Enn move to the Antarctic? The entire nation had somehow shifted far to the south, away from the IDU continents. No-one was able to explain it. There were rumours of a massive fleet of helicopters, but no-one took that seriously. Regardless of the how, Enn was well and truly an Antarctic nation now. What remained to be seen was how the new neighbours would react. |

"Good afternoon, Mr. President," Riley greeted the Destructor as he entered his office.
"I'm stressing out here, Jack!" For once Fernanda was seated behind his desk, and not caught in some compromising position with a female staff member. "I take it you heard about Enn," Riley guessed. "Are you kidding me? They're nuts! Everytime we hear from them it's some rebellion, or revolution, or civil revolt, or disaster, or pro-fluffy vote at the WA! And I know they've only moved so that the next time they explode, we're the ones who take the collateral damage! They must be stopped, Jack!" There was a sudden knock at the door. "Oh shit! That's them right now, come to overthrow me!" Fernanda exclaimed as he dove under his desk. "Tell them I'm not here!" Debbie walked in, paying no notice to her boss cowered beneath his desk. "Mr. Secretary, it's the undersecretary for regional affairs, asking about the gift." "Oh," Riley replied. "Tell him we've got that all worked out. We want to make sure Lady Faren and her government feel right at home here." At once Fernanda emerged from his desk with an mischievous grin on his face. "Lady Faren, eh?" he demanded devilishly. "I think I ought to send her a little welcoming present of my own," he added with an evil chuckle as he pulled out his iPhone. Immediately Riley snatched the device from the president's hands. "Something that doesn't involve you sending her naked pictures of yourself, if you don't mind," he said reprovingly. "Besides, I think the gift we've already arranged for them is perfect." * * * * * Later that day, the doors to Lady Faren's office opened wide, as staffers led in a delivery boy wheeling in a large, securely covered cage, tremoring form the anxious movements of a creature concealed inside. "A gift from the Federal Republic, ma'am, to welcome your nation and people to the region," he announced. He removed the cage cover, revealing a gorgeous large rainbow-colored scarlet macaw, spreading its enormous wings as though grateful for the freedom that the open air provided. The bird tilted its head curiously at its new owner, and obediently repeated the Kennyites' message of cordiality and goodwill for her: *squawk!* Show us yer boobs! Show us yer boobs! *squawk!* |

The Palentine also sent a gift to the newcomers...well actually a small segment of the nation went out to greet the new neighbors. A pod of Palentine Naval Dolphins noticed the arrival and swam up to get a better view. a few children were on the beach and they smiled. soon the word was spread form child to child..."there are dolphins here!" Because everybody in the world knows that dolphins are cute, cuddly, and beloved by children everywhere, children flocked to the beaches. All day they played with their newfound, if foul mouthed, friends. However, Ennish parents were much suprised(and not as amused) by their children's vocabulary around the dining room tables that night.

"I knew I shouldn't have sent that case of Ennish Shandies to Fernanda," Lady Faren muttered at seeing the 'present' from her Omigodtheykilledkennyan counterpart. "Well, this is what I get for trying to expand our markets. Hmm, I suppose there's definite new nations for us to export to this way."
