Title: USA's Conference To Further Democracy

AfricanUnion - January 7, 2008 03:11 AM (GMT)
"The United States of Africa will be holding a conference in Rabat, Morroco to brainstorm brand new ideas in making our society more democractic. As a nation believing in granting rights to Africans rather than having them be colonized, having a more effective democracy would be good. After all, we do not want to be controlled by colonizers.

One of the things we will be discussing is a recent proposal by the Universty of Rabat to get rid of elections.

QUOTE ("UoR")
It can be seen that the People's Senate in the USA is represenative of the will of the people (and if the people disagree with the People's Senate, they will peacefully assemble and convince the People's Senate to change their views).

In fact, elections can be stolen by imperialist powers, who can defraud ballots and try to claim that the people's will is in one direction, rather than in the other direction. And, due to too much costs associated with holding elections, as well as the people deciding to wait until the actual 'elections' to pressure the People's Senate instead of exactly when their will is not being respected, it can be seen that elections actually harm democarcies. Therefore, we should repeal elections in order to increase civic freedoms.

We call on all experts in democratic politics to attend this conference and discuss this, as well as other ideas, as we believe that we really do need their help. Allowing for a new democracy to run its own affairs without outside help and assistance will only lead to downfall, and it could lead to tryanny, as the current President and Senate may seek to gain full control and become the very colonizers we fear. We cannot allow that to happen.

Those who do attend this conference may expect to receive favorable results, including Favored Trade Status and free access to all our national parks..."

(OOC: It does feel to be a newspaper article, but, um, it's actually my first RP in trying to establish a small diplomatic RP where people come and talk. I hope it's okay.)

@Douria: This is not real life; this is roleplay. If you have an IC response from your government, state it. Otherwise, this is not the place for this type of OOC debate. [/modhat]
