The RP takes place right now, 2008, about 100 years after D.Gray-Man. And DGM was real, we just never knew it was. Everything in the DGM manga/anime happened and was recorded by the Bookman, so Hoshino is somehow related to them(XD) and wrote DGM because she found the archives. But on September 10th, 2007, akuma attacked world wide.
