Alpharius stood at one of the windows of his chambers, that overlooked the kingdom. He smiled as he stared at the night sky. He never understood why, but he was somewhat contempt in the night. Alpharius soon started to gaze downward, he stared at the silhouettes of the buildings. Alpharius listened to the sounds of the night. He could hear the drunken shouts of people coming from the tavern. He chuckled as they seemed to make almost no sence once so ever. Alpharius was tired of just standing and gazing at his kingdom. He turned quickly so he was no longer facing the window and he walked to the door of his chambers.

Alpharius opened the door, the creaking, breaking the silence that was in his mind. After he was clear of the door he shut it behind him, before continueing down the hall, eventually he had made it to the castle gates, he opened them passing the two guards that he had stationed on the inside just incase the castle was ever seiged and the doors were forced open. As he stepped outside the castle, Alpharius yawned, and sighed, as the guards from the outside, insisted that they follow him. Alpharius, agreed, and continued to walk as the guards followed him, after a few minutes he stopped and just stood there, eventually he opened his mouth and he said to himself, "the wonderful night, it is almost always calm, and never ceases to amaze me." the guards behind him arched a brow and most likly were thinking that the king, was either drunk or tired.

Minutes passed, and Alpharius just stood there, admiring the beauty of the night, and the silhouettes of the buildings, that surronded him, he eventually gazed at the 45 ft tall wall, that surrounded his castle, and he yawned, after staring at it, afterall it was so plain, and even the night could not make it intresting. Alpharius quickly turned to see the guards, almost falling asleep, he chuckled and said, his voice somewhat happy, "what say we go back to the castle and get some rest"and now he walked back to the castle gates, when they arrived back at the castle, Alpharius, opened the gates, and he wandered back to his room mumbling to himself. He made it to his almost as though he was in a hurry, and he swung the door open, without any the thought the doors usual creek was followed by a loud thud, of the door hitting the stone wall. The king yawned and he crawled into his bed and fell into a deep sleep.
