Last up tonight is Ace Young who is singing In The Still Of The Night. He says he knew he had to do the song a little differently because he is a solo artist and this song was originally done by a group. Barry likes how Ace made the song his own and encourages him to end in his falsetto. I love the new arrangement Ace gave the song and it has a great, contemporary feel to it. The opening verse was great and I thought he did a good job interacting with the audience. The middle of the song had some big power notes and ones I didn't even know Ace was capable of. And as Barry promised, he ends in his falsetto. Overall, I thought it was Ace's best performance yet. Randy tells Ace he's back and that he likes how he made the song new and fresh. Paula calls it sexy and sultry. Simon says it wasn't the best vocal of the night but that he won't be in the bottom three this week. He also calls it one of Ace's best. Ace had his best week yet. -------------------- ![]() |
