I've played a lot of MMOs, most for not very long because I get bored, but the ones that I remember playing are: FlyFF (Fly For Fun), Last Chaos, Perfect World, Silkroad, Rappelz and Shiya (or however the last 2 are spelled)
FlyFF: ACTUALLY UNIQUE! Aside from the slightly cutsie graphics, the game offers you the ability to choose your class after 15 lvls as a base class (vagrant, or training class as some refer to it) that EVERYONE is. And then each class has 2 ways to go, which leads to the lvl 60 Master class change. The game is decent, has a pretty good player base (if you can find people who aren't assholes) who will help you, and has a lot of events. It has like. . .10 different server clusters with 4-5 servers in each. Characters can access all servers in 1 cluster, but on other clusters new characters are needed (for example, I have a character on Mia cluster (4). I can access 4-1, 4-2, 4-3 and 4-4, but not Lawolf (3) or any others.)
Last Chaos: A bit more normal. Graphics are straight to the point without any additives (meaning, its all crisp lines and shit). You start as the class you want (like most) and just go. The unique thing is this: as lvl 1, you can use the highest weapons and equips in the game. The problem: you have a MASSIVE penality in damage. So you CAN get a friend to give you high lvl shit and use it, you just won't do much until you're within a limit (4 lvls above for weaps, 5 for armor). Plus the healer is an elf chick who wears miniskirts. Thats a selling point for many people.
Perfect World: Decent. Wasn't too big on the game itself. The fully customizable character was awesome, but it got boring really quickly when everything dies and gives little exp or rapes you. It wasn't really unique, but the effect of actually SWIMMING in water was cool.
Silkroad, Rappelz, Shyia: All very generic, poor admin/mod support, nothing really interesting about them.
