AKT Revival

This is for people to discuss whether or not they'd like to see this site make a comeback.

Well, you know, this is the first time I've logged into this site since November of last year. I've looked back at things; this was the site where I started Star Wars forum RPing, where I got my original character killed, and the site where I've had both the worst and the best of my RP experiences. Furthermore, just as a side-note, I've always liked the simple light-colored skin that the site has.

Anyways, looking at the comments that Vexy left on my character after I got into a hissy-fit and left, I can't help but feeling regret that I was obsessed and that I overreacted; I can't help but feeling sorry that I left in the first place.

Bottom line is that this site has went dead and been reborn countless times, persevered countless times despite its ups and downs, and I believe it couldn't hurt to resurrect it once again. I'm willing to give it a fresh start with a fresh character.

I, unfortunately, don't believe AKT should be revived. As has already been stated, this site has been revived countless times and it never survives for long periods of time. It limps through for several months, if that, before succumbing to lack of activity. I don't think this would be any different, especially since it's only a month before college/universities restart.

Personally, I think it detracts from the good memories everyone has of AKT if we just continue to drag it through the mud by continually bringing it back. It's defying the inevitable - and failing to succeed at such - and it doesn't help anyone really. It gives you a place to RP for what, a few weeks? I'd rather remember AKT as a good, active, fun site than just have a few weeks.

That's just my opinion, however. I won't be returning. Apologies.

While you do have a good point Mortis, AKT has never been strictly about the site but about the community. Why I proposed this was to get the community of AKT back together for good RP'ing, and if that happens to be here then great. If not, it'd be nice to gather that community in one place to see everyone RP'ing together and enjoying each other's writing again.

I personally would enjoy a revival. I miss SW RP and not many matched this one, my first. I won't go into detail how long ago that was, don't want to date myself. Anywho, I would also like to bring my scoundrel charrie back to life somewhere. Friend of mine and I have tons of fun with that type of charrie.

like other have said it's not just the posting but the Community too. Sharing the love of fiction and writing with others who also enjoy it. Just my 2 cents worth. Besides I was having with this Jedi Charrie too before the sudden silence!
