The OOC Rules;
    R-e-s-p-e-c-t. Everyone on this site is basically equal. We’re all here to roleplay, so don’t ruin someone else’s experience by going and being stupid.

    Any IC fights stay IC. We want this to be a fun site for all. I’m sure we get enough fighting in our regular lives, and we don’t need to fight online.

    Obey the mighty Admins. No one’s word is to be taken above the Admins. What they say goes, so listen up. If you do not listen to the Administrators, expect to be banned

    Spam = bad Not only is the /meat/ gross, but the annoying one-lined posts with no significance whatsoever is also bothersome. So don’t stink up our boards with it.

    Double posts? No problem. This goes for both the OOC boards and the IC boards. If you accidentally post a post twice, or if you post your post under the wrong account, simply PM an Admin, and the problem will be taken care of for you. Simple, eh?

    Use your good judgment. Don’t post a huge train of swear words. Yes, we’re mature, but a post where every other word is a swear word isn’t acceptable. Don’t post explicit photos. We don’t need to see that.
The IC Rules;

    BE LITERATE! This means a minimum of two paragraphs (with a minimum of four sentences each) per post. So that’s eight sentences per post. Not too tricky, eh? This also means no IC chatspeak. Characters do not go LOL and OMG or LMAO. Don’t use excessive punctuation!!!!!!!! Okay???? Try, also, to use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Don’t know how to spell a word? Dictionary.com works great.

    The site is rated ‘PG-13/R’. Although we’re a mature site, anything that might offend some people, like sex, must have a warning posted in the sub-title or have an Admin change the title for you to include a warning. You do not need a warning if the board contains mild sexual references, only if it is something like full-on action.

    Register with your character’s name. This means first and last name, very much like I’ve done. If you register incorrectly, please notify one of the Admins, and it will, shortly, be changed for you. (: However, if you join under something like ginny69, you will immediately be deleted. Register under a new name for every character of yours. Also, when you post an application, post the whole thing. If you need to save it, save it in the notepad in your user control panel. If you post half an application, it will be deleted.

    Canon List=Friend Although we are accepting originals, check out the canon list first! I wanted to make this Teddy Lupin's seventh year (cause I heart Remus!) but most people we know of wouldn't be in the same seventh year so I added a few new families. If you join with one character from the canon list and want to request a family to be made, you may make up ages and houses and that family shall be added to the canon list, but only after you're active for at least a week. If we find that you drop your original character for your own made up one, you will lose your second character and the family will be removed from the canon list. PM the admin if you want a family added.

    Don’t do any of the stupid things that everyone knows you’re not supposed to do. This means no Mary/Gary Sues, no powerplaying, godmoding, etc. If you’re literate, you should know this stuff, darlings. Basically, make your character like a normal human being. No character or person is perfect. And, for that matter, no one can control other people, either!

    Emo is a no-no. While having emotional characters with stress and such is perfectly fine, absolutely depressing characters who do nothing but sit around and whine about how cruddy their life is and how they just want their lives to end are not fun to roleplay with. Characters are allowed to go through a depressed stage, but there must be cause. You cannot just join as a depressed person for no reason and never get out of the depression. I don’t care if you are emo or if you wish you were, the truth is, they’re anti-social and simply boring! We’re here to roleplay, not to write endless posts about self-mutilation and depression. Small bouts of depression are fine, but no suicides and nothing extensively damaging, please.

    Fighting is okay, if it’s done right. If your character is going to get into a fight with someone else, be it a verbal one, or a physical one, there are a few things to keep in mind. The first is do not powerplay. It’s been said before, but these are situations when people tend to control other peoples’ characters. It’s not good. It’s not fun. And, most of all, it’s not fair! By posting something like “Nory decked Cressida and totally knocked her out cold,” you’re not letting the other person defend themself. Also, you’re not fighting to kill. We don’t want our students to go shooting each other, now do we? Keep any fighting at all strictly IN CHARACTER. Don’t carry your feud over into the OOC talk. I realize I’m repeating myself, but these are important parts that need to be stressed.

    Activeness is important. No one wants to start a roleplay with someone and never finish it because the other person left the site. So, you need to post at least once every two weeks. Going on vacation? No problem, simply post in the absences board or PM one of your lovely slave drivers Admins, and, voila, your account is now protected. If you neglect to post that you’re going away, however, and don’t post within two weeks, your account will be suspended.

    Have fun! This site was created for a fun experience. Which means something enjoyable, for those of you who aren’t entirely sure as to what fun is. (*hums the FUN song* F is for friends who do stuff together...) Don’t ruin anyone else’s experience, and others will give you the same courtesy.
The GRAPHICS Rules;

<span style='font-size:7pt;line-height:100%'>
    When your character is accepted, post in the face claim. This will ensure that no one else will use the same celebrity or model as you. Also, you must use a real person, not a cartoon or drawing. We will not allow any emo/goth/punk celebrities or models to be used, because it is not very realistic in HP terms.

    You must have either an avatar and/or signature graphic. You have three days to get either an avatar and/or a signature graphic. If you are not good with graphics, you can request from Red Carpet & Rebellion, The Dark Arts or Pandora's Closet. There will be no nudity allowed in imagery. You may not have graphics not pertaining to your character. You may not have both avatars and a signature.

    There are specific sizes for graphics. Avatars must be 100x100 in size, no larger and no smaller. Your signature can be up to 500x200 or eight icons. Do not have both a signature banner and icons since it takes up too much room. Text is allowed in sigs just don't put too much.

    No linking to other sites in your signature. Unless you are giving credit to whomever made your set, you are not allowed to put links to another site. Advertisements stay in the 'Floo Network' forum only.
