PERSONALITY.

Generally, Serena isn’t known for devoting long hours to helping the poor or reading to the blind. Instead, she’s more known to be some what of a bitchy character, sitting on her high throne. She isn’t a brat, she firmly disbelieves in throwing strops to get what she wants. Instead, Serena is prone to manipulating a lying her way in and out of a situation. She’s tactful, knowing when to speak and when not to speak. Inside that pretty little head of hers a lot goes on, between her tendency to record every minuscule detail and logging the way people move and think. Although the people who know her well would tend to try and stay on her good side, Serena knows how to make a good first impression and how to portray yourself as someone you really aren’t. She’s rather selfish, not taking much interest in the people around her. She loves being the centre of attention, whether it be good or bad publicity. Serena knows how to make herself look good, although she really dislikes women who feel the need to slap on the lipstick and match themselves up with tight leather pants and a revealing tank top. She’s classy and witty, knowing exactly what side of the line she should stay on. Some say Serena is rude, other call it blunt, but either way Serena likes to tell it as it is. If she doesn’t like something, she’ll express her opinion if she really can. Not one to be really untidy, she presents herself well and keeps herself well groomed.

Serena dislikes the world of good with a passion, missing the point of ‘love’, ‘hope’ and ‘happiness’. Having not experienced these emotions herself, she refers to not believe in them. There’s a dark interior behind the big eyes and heart shaped face, which she likes to use to her advantage frequently. She has a tendency to be sarcastic, with a biting edge.

HISTORY.

Serena was brought up in a house of wealthy demons, consisting of a mother, father, and an older brother. Her family weren’t closest you could find, they were often apart, with her father being away on business, her mother usually tagging along and her waste of a brother out getting high on pot and drinking till he can’t see. From a young age, Serena failed to see the joy in life, instead steadily becoming more and more cynical as the years grew by. Forced to be tutored by her teachers on the features of witches, demons, and other magical creatures alike, she spent most of her time cooped up, with resentment building up in her. Her parents grew further apart from her, both sides not making much effort to see each other. Eventually, when Serena became 19, she decided to move away form the huge house and wanted to live on her own, going to live in San Francisco, happy to relish her freedom. Her way of means was, of course, provided through her father’s everlasting bank account, which she dipped into whenever she felt the need was there.

Out in the real world, Serena and her cynical ways were in for a nasty shock. By chance, she stumbled across witches and innocents in their natural environment. Encountering witches themselves was different to studying their weaknesses and focal points from textbooks in your room during the daylight hours of a Tuesday, which she quickly came to realise. Her first kill of an innocent was an interesting one, if not choppy, and one which dictated her feeling towards the good side of the human population pretty much for the rest of her life. With the fresh smell of bloody on her hands, she’d finally realised what her parents had been telling her all those years. All those textbook questions finally made sense to her, taking in the words that had been fed to her by her tutors.

She started to build up a separate life for herself, going out to parties by night and working as a waitress by day in a cafe. She kept her status low, preferring to relish her powers frequently in short bursts, rather than running round on massive rampages. To this day, Serena is building up her life once again, starting basically at the bottom of the food chain. Hoping her family name will be a good enough thing to help her through, she attempts to survive the wreckage that is home.
