The principle is that what the enemy cannot see he cannot kill. This is not the way of the Adeptus Astartes. A Space Marine’s armour is bright with heraldry that proclaims his devotion to his Chapter and the beloved Emperor of Mankind. Our principle is that what the enemy can see, he will soon learn to fear…”

Thank you for enrolling in the East vs West Campaign! Your unit has been approved after looking at your roster and make-up. However, certain names will need to be cleaned up or made more realistic during matches. For example, having a name like Pvt. Deer is fine. However, having a name like Pvt. Buckshot is not. Same applies for names such as Pvt. (gt)Brown('').

Your unit has been added to the Allied side of the campaign. The UWFL staff will hold a few impromptu meetings with your units CoC starting tonight and continuing the next day until all the members you want to receive the briefing have had a chance to hear it. Players only need to hear this briefing once. Command is expected to use what they learn to then brief their units on how the campaign unfolds and how they can get involved.

Thank you again for enrolling and we wish the best of luck to you in helping your side crush the Axis of Evil!

What names of ours don't meet that criteria?

The only name (realistic) on the roster I saw the other day was a Rec. De Hoop. Ive never heard of a last name like that, but if it is...it is.

The only name that really needs to be changed is some of your in game steam names. They must be in the format as the rest of your unit. It is not necessary this becomes permanent, just for when you are in matches.

And note, if ANY names change and you play as a different realistic name in matches, MAKE sure you include the name change on your roster. I cannot stress how important this is. If a unit DQ's you for using a ringer we always look into them. We check everything to ensure they were a member, but if the name was not on the roster, enrollments and his name appeared the day of the match there is nothing the league can do to help your case.

Only one ringer issue has ever been raised and the player in question went through the entire process listed. We found no record showing he was a member so we unfortunately had to uphold the DQ and take the match away from the unit.

As for the realistic last names rule. The community shouted for change after season 1 because we let in "clan/units" such as BAR and NigOps who turned out to not make great additions to the tournament. After season 1 we added stricter guidelines on units enrolling.

Do you have a link to a page showing these new rules, I didn't see anything about names in the rules page that I found on uwfl site.

Just want to be sure we aren't missing even more rules.

http://unitedwarfare.com/ladder/enroll.html

The requirments for enrollment are listed to the right.

As for the matches, the rules are listed here:
http://unitedwarfare.com/ladder/rules.html

And as for the rules in how/when to deploy, those are discussed in the briefing.

Forum rules are simple. Just no bashing other units or players. Opening cases of dishonesty are ok (though Id personally rather not see them), but calling eachother names and such are the only rules we enforce on them.

Aw, but what if I want to bash freeborn because he deserves it? tongue.gif

Thanks Switz, that's what I get for not reading the fantastic manual ahead of time. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything else that was major.
