Mew
-Sprites-
Development: Intelligent, Legendary
Ability:
Synchronize
Battle effect: When user is inflicted with Poison, Burn, or Paralysis status, the opponent is also inflicted. Immunities to status are taken into account.
Field effect: 1.5x chance of running into wild Pokémon with the same nature as the user when user is in the leading slot.
Rp effect: With families, Synchronize runs a deeper vein. Mates can often tell when their child is hurt or if their Partner is in danger, regardless of the space between them. Close friends and siblings benefit from a similar effect.
Gender Ratio:
50/50.
(Original Gender: Not known. Given its ability to Transform, Mew often switched genders at will to suit different situations, people and personal whim. Mew's true gender has long been forgotten, even by Mew itself.)
Classification: The New Species Pokémon
Type:

Delta:
Any
Height: 0.4 m / 1'4" (not including tail)
Build: Generally very light with wide hips and a thick pear-shape. A Mew's lower limbs are much stronger than their upper limbs.

N/A

Common Variations:
Tails can be much longer (although rarely shorter) and the 'nub' at the end can vary in size, from twice as thick, to almost nonexistent.
Fur can differ in shade from deep scarlet and navy blue (non-shiny and shiny respectively) to pure white, tipped with lavender at the toes and tail tip. White Mew generally have green rather than blue eyes.
Info:
Mew, before the apocalypse, was considered to be so rare that it is still said to be a mirage by many experts. Only a few people ever saw it worldwide. Apparently, this was because they only appeared to those people who were pure of heart and had a strong desire to see it. These were often children.
Mew's DNA was said to contain the genetic codes of all POKéMON, mostly because it can use all kinds of techniques. In fact this idea was quite thoroughly studied by humans, but they never came to any concrete findings. Their research was often hampered by the Mew's natural playfulness and their ability to turn invisible.
Any Mew can be considered highly intelligent, to the point where they can be considered, on average, as one the smartest Pokémon races. However, they are rarely thought of as smart due to their in-grained child-like behaviour. To tell the truth, they are often considered somewhat stupid and generally Mews tend to enjoy messing with those that believe that.
A Mew's intelligence can be proven by the fact that they have the extremely rare ability to learn
any move. This ability is shared only by the Mewtwo race.
Despite humanity's belief that Mew was the ancestor of (almost) all Pokémon, this is simply not true. The closest genetic relatives of the Mew race are the Abra line, which can be seen by the head, body shape, the hand structure and the extremely high intelligence exhibited by them.
Mew was one of the few legends to produce offspring- thus having multiple Mew running around the world- before Arceus awoke and decreed legends should. This included even breeding with result in hybrids, during a time when it was all but unheard of even for non-Legends. (Please note, while 'multiple' Celebi may have been seen, at this point these were still only the Original having time-traveled, resulting in 'time-paradox duplicates'.)
However, since Mew represents New Life, these extra Mews where deemed the Children of Mew and over-looked by Arceus. Unfortunately, many of these 'Children of Mew' died out before Master Satoshi's time, the time when Arceus decreed that the Legendaries should mate to protect the blood lines.
