The Ice Mountains One of two lands that boarder the Northern Polar Ice Cap. These mountains are a massive ridge and they pose a great challenge to any one trying to get past them. If you were able to take this land for your own, you would a have a very easily defensible base to fight from. That is, as long as you don't mind the cold. Cut in half by the Glacier Valley. Mist Springs A beautiful large hot spring sitting at the base of Glacier Valley, on both sides of Glacier River. It is warmed by the heat of the under ground lava. Great for bathing. Some say that you can become greatly confused and lose your way in this hot spring, the mist may have something to do with it. Glacier River A (usually) calm river that cuts down through the Mist Springs and equally divides the Pine Forest into East and West. It is not unusual to find Bidoof dams along the river. Eastern Snow Fields The Eastern Snow Fields lead out of the eastern side of the Pine Forest. There are human ruins here, located in the centre of this large land. Good hunting grounds. Glacier Lake Glacier Lake is where Glacier River terminates. It is large enough to classify as a land in and of itself and separates the East and West Snow Fields. During Winter, the lake freezes completely over and many of the creatures that live here must either hibernate or migrate. Under the frozen surface, life continues as normal. Alto Mare Ruins This place is said to be were Latios and Latias grew up and was one of the few human cities to somewhat survive the reforming of the earth. As you can see, the legends are no longer here. The grasses and trees have long taken over the water filled city, vines scale the stone houses and brake it all apart slowly. Some say that the Original Latias comes back at times, to mourn for her lost home. If legend is right, if you make her happy for once she'll take you to her new home and show you. The spirit of the Original Latios is also said to wander the ruins. The Eastern Beach The Eastern Beach is quite similar to the Western Beach. It's huge, unclaimable and it has a reef at the equator. The difference? It stretches from the bottom of the cliff the Alto Mare Ruins sit upon to the Southern Mountains. The Western Beach Yep, it is a huge beach, stretching from the far north of the Land of the Daikaiju right down to the Citadel. A large reef, some distance out to sea, can be found near the equator. Wailmer love playing on this beach and can sometimes be a pest to the native pokemon. The shear size of the beach makes anyone trying to claim it fail miserably, so it is an unwritten rule that this beach, as well as its Eastern counter-part, cannot be claimed. The Ring of Fire The Volcanic Plateau, as it is also known, is dead centre of the whole continent. With this domant circle of volcanos, lies the Central Desert, made that way by the huge volcanic mountains stopping the almost-constant rains getting in. Great Central Desert A massive desert almost completely surrounded by the Ring of Fire, the area is devoid of almost any water. It is hard to imagine anything living here. Yet, somehow life still finds a way and this desolate place is crawling with all kinds of creatures and, if know where to look, even a foreigner can find food and water plenty to survive. Crystal Plains A huge swathe of land covered in a massive crystal matrix, grown from the remains of the Tree of Beginning. It is tended to diligently by those that live there, as it is ingrained in the religious beliefs of those people. Any attempting to claim this area for their own selfish gains would see find themselves up against a formidable defence, as they are attacked not only by those living there, but the crystal itself. This area lies directly south of the southern quarter of the Great Central Jungles and divides the entire continent. Forest of Torment On the outside, it's happy and outlined with Peacha Berry Trees. But step inside 15 meters and it's a completely different story. Inside, it gives off an eerie greenish purple glow, and the trees look like black lightning against it. I's hot and humid, and all the streams are mostly thick mud. It's a natural maze of thorns, and legends tell of a great power, or great evil, at the end. Most Pokemon who get lost in the maze never come out... Concrete Jungle The Concrete Jungle is what remains of the once great Saffron City. Interestingly, the only two places that mark it out as once being Saffron are the Silph Co. HQ and the Saffron Gym, still standing, more or less, as they did when humans still walked the Earth. Large numbers of Psychics gather here, as legend tells of a great Psychic human who is said to have lived here long, long ago. The greatest Psychics come from here, as they say that the human still trains these pokemon even from beyond the grave. East of the Forest of Torment. Matrix Plains A generally unremarkable place, except for a massive Gothic styled tower that dominates the landscape. Each full moon, a massive beam of light shoots from the top, out into space. Rumours abound about just what it is for and those that know, the Zion Matrix clan, are not telling. What is known is that the Crystal Plains has something to do with it. Eden Fields A lush, fertile land that surrounds the Great Citadel and it has been ever since the fall of man. Farming communities mostly populate this area and it is fairly easy to travel through it, as many of the more dangerous wild pokes have been driven away. Cattle herders travel around from station to station, selling high grade leather, Moomoo Milk and meat to the villagers and even the Great Citadel. The Great Citadel It ain't called great for nothing. This massive City sits upon the southern edge of the Eden Fields, bordering the Southern Ice Mountains. It has been rather well kept, compared to the other ruins that scatter around Teirukai, as it is one of the few that play permanent host to a healthy population of Intelligent Pokemon.
